Duncan personally directs all projects at DRA, maintaining a strong presence throughout the life of each. Staff are encouraged to develop a broad knowledge base while still respecting their individual experience, qualities and interests. The strength of DRA comes from its friendly and supportive culture and dedicated staff. Duncan chooses his people carefully and all members of the team are enthusiastic about the firm's values, direction and the quality of service provided. Duncan Ross
Duncan Ross - B. Arch., O.A.A.
Duncan's career spans a thirty-seven year period. He received a Bachelor of Architecture in 1981 from Carleton University and was awarded the R.A.I.C. Medal for academic achievement upon graduation.
Prior to forming his own practice, Duncan worked in south-central Ontario with various small and medium size firms, becoming project architect for a number of projects and the lead technical architect for one firm. Duncan formed Duncan Ross Architect (DRA) in Huntsville in February of 1993. Duncan enjoys cycling, history and stamp collecting.

Nathan Zimmer
Nathan Zimmer - Technologist
Nathan, presently our senior technologist and field review specialist, joined DRA in 2004 having graduated from Sheridan College with a three year architectural technology diploma. Nathan was introduced to Architecture at a young age, and has developed a passion for the art of building. With a background in hands on construction, Nathan brings practical building know how with a strong understanding of the theory behind construction methodology. With over 13 years experience Nathan has been involved in all aspects of the Architectural and building process. He has been heavily involved in many of DRA's larger projects which include large multi-residential condos, resort buildings and various local Township buildings. He has extensive experience and knowledge in producing contract documents, contract administration documents, and Tarion Warranty documents. Nathan is also an accomplished landscape artist in his own right and his artwork graces DRA's offices. His artistic flare contributes to his strong design skills, which aids him in creating unique and interesting designs concepts.

Debbie Lis
DEBBIE BATCHELOR - B.A. Sc. - Designer/Technologist
Debbie has had a varied career starting with an Occupational Health and Safety degree from Ryerson University, Provincial Officer with the Ministry of Environment and Energy and several years experience with Redcliff Realty Advisors/Management - a national property investment/management corporation. Further studies (this time in architecture) at Ryerson led her to a position at DRA in 2005. Since then, Debbie has been the lead designer on a number of residential and institutional projects, working closely with clients to ensure each project's unique requirements are aesthetically and economically realized.

Lauren Spivak
LAUREN SPIVAK - Designer/Technologist
Lauren came to DRA in 2007, bringing with her experience from Humber College (Diploma in Theatre Arts, Technical Production) and several years as a Scheduler at Algonquin Automotive in Bracebridge. Lauren's strengths include, design, complete contract documentation and co-ordination at the client and consultant levels. She is also the firm's 3D presentation specialist. Lauren has proven her attention to detail and management skills through the completion of many successful projects, including townhouse developments, apartment buildings, cottages, residential projects, restaurants, Township contracts, and various commercial buildings.

Lisa Steckly
LISA STECKLY - B.A. Hons., Designer/Technologist Lisa left a successful career the field of human resources training to pursue a love of design. She is a graduate of the University of Guelph and has supplemented her education with two years of design at Georgian College. Lisa contributes to the team with project coordination and working drawing production and is responsible for designing and maintaining the DRA website.

Jessica D'Andrea
JESSICA D'ANDREA - Technologist
Jessica received her architectural technologist diploma from George Brown College. While at school, she worked as a draftsperson for a large, stone and tile company. After graduating, she obtained a job at Darlington Nuclear as a Quality Control/Assurance Inspector for the construction of new facilities. After two years, Jessica moved on to new projects at Darlington as a Junior Project Coordinator. Jessica's love of design and her search for architectural experience led her to Duncan Ross Architect where she contributes to the team with technical knowledge and site experience.
